About the Register of Deeds office:
The Kewaunee County Register of Deeds has two full time employees
in addition to the register. A computerized grantor/grantee and
tract indexing system was installed in 1992. Conversion to an
imaging system occurred in December of 2001. Back scanning is on
going with the intent to have images available for all documents
that are indexed in the computerized system. Internet access to
the images became available in March 2004 through the county land
records website. The Kewaunee County Register of Deeds office is
also the Land Information Office.

There are 10 townships, two cities and two villages in the county,
with a total of 331 square miles and a population of approximately
20,000 people. Lake Michigan is the eastern boarder of the county.
Although the county is growing in the Luxemburg area with its
proximity to Brown County, it is still a rural, family farming
community and also several large dairy operations.
