Menominee County - Renata Maulson

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today announced his appointment of Renata Maulson to serve as Menominee County Register of Deeds. The appointment is effective July 10, 2024. Maulson will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends on Jan. 5, 2025.

“Renata Maulson’s background as deputy register of deeds makes her well-qualified to carry out the duties as register of deeds for Menominee County,” said Gov. Evers. “She will lead the office and serve the people of Menominee County well in this role.”

Maulson is a proud resident of Keshena, having graduated from Menominee Indian School District High School. She has been serving as the deputy register of deeds for Menominee County since 2023.

“I would like to say thank you to the governor for the appointment of register of deeds for Menominee County. I am looking forward to serving,” said Maulson. “I enjoyed being the deputy register of deeds and will carry on my duties as register of deeds for the rest of the term. So again, thank you very much.”

About the Register of  Deeds Office

The Register of Deeds office currently has one part-time employee, as well as the part-time Register of Deeds, however the office remains open full-time. In 2018, the Register of Deeds office implemented TriMin, as the land records management systems. Prior to 2018, all documents are stored on microfilm and paper. Efforts are being made to ensure all records pre-2018 will be added into the online system for easier access and retrieval.   In 2018, the Register of Deeds office recorded a total of 522 documents. Since September 2019, the office recorded 239 documents.
