Our county seat is Durand with a population of 7,441. Pepin County Register of Deeds employs one full-time deputy in addition to the Register. We offer online searching for real estate records through our website using Laredo or Tapestry (Fidlar Technologies). On-line searches go back to the mid 1980’s and our inhouse tract indexes and Grantor/Grantee indexes go back to the 1800’s. We continue to back-index as time permits. If there is a document not available on-line, please contact our office and we can try to get that document released online for purchase. Pepin County offers “Property Fraud Alert” which is a free notification system. To sign up, go to PropertyFraudAlert.com.
