Kathy Kostock was elected to serve as Register of Deeds in November of 2024, after having been appointed to the role earlier that year.  She has 15 years of real estate related experience, working as a processing and closing agent in the title industry, real estate administrative assistant, and mortgage loan underwriter and officer.  In other words, she speaks “real estate”.   Additionally, she has more than 10 years of bookkeeping experience.  Kathy serves on the Vitals Committee of the Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association (WRDA) and is a member of Property Records Industry Association.

Kathy has been a resident of Walworth County for over 35 years and is member of the Elkhorn Area School Board. Living in the Town of Sugar Creek with Bill, her husband of 40+ years, Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends and listening to music at the historic Elkhorn Band Shell.  She and Bill are big gardeners and have been blessed to be able to share their bounty with family, neighbors and local food pantries.
